Inaugural Presentation:  Personal Mobility

Held on - Tuesday 07 April

Melbourne

KEYNOTE ADDRESS:

Andrew Barlow & Kerry Lowe, PricewaterhouseCoopers addressed a highly topical issue:

Two revolutionary forces - the advent of the Internet and widespread deployment of wireless networks - have swept the communications world in the past two decades, changing how individuals interact and how companies do business. They promise access to personalised and location-aware content anywhere, any time and through any device and have changed how people connect making them constantly and immediately accessible.

The presentation will provide insights into the outcomes of the third global Convergence Monitor survey of PricewaterhouseCoopers staff which focuses on which devices and applications people are using today and desire in the future. More broadly, it will cover the changes driving and enabling personal mobility, and contemplate the resulting challenges faced by service providers, equipment manufacturers and application developers.

WEBSITE LAUNCH:

Matt Carrick, Director, Multimedia Victoria, officially launched the MobilityVic website.

NETWORKING:

Guests joined the MobilityVic Committee for a networking drink at the conclusion of the formal

proceedings.
