R&D TAX INCENTIVES SCHEME - UPDATE

07 NOVEMBER 2011

Effective from 1 July this year, the Federal Government introduced a new R&D Tax Incentives Scheme to replace the old R&D Tax Concession.  There were significant changes across the board, with the key changes being:

  • The definition of R&D, which has taken on a more scientific flavour
  • Increased benefits, particularly for smaller research intensive companies
  • The ability for IP to be held offshore
  • A change to the special restriction on software related R&D

AusIndustry and the ATO also have stepped up their review and audit activities with increased resources and scrutiny of claims.

MobilityVic has pleasure in inviting you to attend a free seminar aimed at demystifying the new R&D Tax Incentives Scheme.

This seminar will:

  • Highlight the major differences between the old and new schemes
  • Explain how the new scheme relates to software development/technology companies
  • Answer any questions you may have
